TOWN OF UTICA TOWN BOARD MEETING MINUTES June 8, 2009 1. CALL TO ORDER. Chairman Nelson Hinz called the June 8, 2009 meeting to order at 7:30 p.m. at the Utica Town Hall. Nelson Hinz, Chairman, Kathy Paschke, Supervisor #1, Frederick Marohn, Supervisor #2, Betty Messerschmidt, Treasurer and Jack Clarke, Clerk were present. 17 citizens were in the audience. 2. APPROVAL OF MINUTES. The minutes of the May 11, 2009 meeting were reviewed. Supervisor Paschke made a motion, seconded by Supervisor Marohn, to accept the minutes. Carried. 3. TREASURER’S REPORT. Treasurer Messerschmidt read the Treasurer’s report. Receipts were $4,095.56. Disbursements were $48,916.33. Check book balance is $107,547.91. Supervisor Paschke made a motion, seconded by Supervisor Marohn, to accept the Treasurer’s Report. Carried. 4. ADOPT AGENDA. Chairman Hinz read the Agenda for the meeting. 5. PUBLIC FORUM. A Winnebago County Sheriffs Deputy spoke about things that residents need to do to prevent break-ins. A resident asked the officer if the County has a set schedule to patrol the area. His answer was no. A resident asked where the Public Nuisance ordinances originated. A resident asked for clarification as to if the ordinances would be adopted at the June 11 Public Hearing. 6. PUBLIC TOWN MEETING – JUNE 11, 2009 TO REVIEW ORDINANCES. Chairman Hinz reminded the residents that a Public Hearing would be held on Thursday, June 11, 2009 at 7:00 PM to hear opinions regarding three proposed Town ordinances. 6. DETERMINE ROAD MAINTENANCE PROJECTS FOR 2009. It was decided that Chairman Hinz would seek 3 bids to pulverize and seal coat Knott Road and 2 bids to fill cracks and seal coat other town roads. 7. APPROVE LIQUOR, TOBACCO AND CIGARETTE LICENSES. Supervisor Paschke made a motion seconded by Supervisor Marohn, to approve issuing Liquor, Tobacco And Cigarette Licenses to GAMBRINUS enterprises, Inc, GSD Investments LLC, United Cooperative and Wehrmann's. Carried. 9. REPORTS: 1. Board of Appeals. N/A 2. Fire Department. Chief Hunter reported that there would be a controlled burn of buildings on the corner of County Road M and Mahlke Road on June 16 and 27. 3. Plan Commission. Supervisor Marohn made a motion, seconded by Supervisor Paschke, to approve the Plan Commission recommendations to change the CSM and change the zoning of Lot 1 from A-2 to Rural Recreational and Residential Mixed Use at 6570 Bradley Road. Carried. 4. Educational Opportunities. N/A 8. CORRESPONDENCE. A letter was received from International announcing a recall on the new 2009 Engine. 9. PAYMENT OF BILLS Supervisor Marohn made a motion, seconded by Supervisor Paschke, to pay the bills. Carried. 14. ADJOURNMENT Supervisor Marohn made a motion, seconded by Supervisor Paschke, to adjourn. Carried.
