TOWN OF UTICA
BOARD OF REVIEW MINUTES
1. CALL TO ORDER.
The May 15, 2010 Board of Review meeting was called to order by Clerk
Morrell at 11:00 a. m. at
the Utica Town Hall. Nelson Hinz, Chairman; Kathy Paschke, Supervisor
#1; Frederick Marohn,
Supervisor #2; Brenda Morrell, Clerk and Troy Zacharias, Appraiser;
were present.
2. NOMINATIONS
Chairman Hinz asked for nominations for Chair of the Board of Review.
Supervisor Paschke made
a motion, seconded by Supervisor Marohn to nominate Nelson Hinz. 3
ayes and 0 nays. Carried.
Chairman Hinz asked for nominations for Vice-Chair of the Board of
Review Meeting. Chairman Hinz made a motion to nominate Supervisor
Paschke, seconded by Supervisor Marohn. 3 ayes and 0 nays. Carried.
3. OBJECTIONS OF REAL PROPERTY ASSESSMENT
Jeffery Houle, 6264 Shea Road, appeared to present oral testimony to
the Board of Review. No recent sales or comparable sales were
presented to the Board.
Chairman, Hinz made a motion, seconded by Supervisor Marohn to approve
the appraisal by the assessor, (Troy Zacharius) of the Jeff Houle
property. Therefore, in exercising its judgment and discretion,
pursuant to Sec. 70.47(9)(a) of the Wis. Statutes, the Board of
Review, by majority and roll call vote determined that the taxpayer
did not present sufficient evidence to rebut the presumption of
correctness granted by law to the Assessor.
4. ADJOURNMENT
Supervior Marohn made a motion seconded by Supervisor Paschke, to
adjourn at 1:00 PM. 3 ayes and 0 nays. Carried.
