November 22, 2010 Special Meeting of the Electors - Levy Approval

TOWN OF UTICA
SPECIAL TOWN MEETING OF THE ELECTORS
 November 22, 2010

The November 22, 2010 meeting was called to order by Chairman Nelson
Hinz at 7:00 p.m. at the Utica Town Hall. Nelson Hinz, Chairman;
Charles Kuhrt, Supervisor #1; Frederick Marohn, Supervisor #2, Betty
Messerschmidt, Treasurer, Brenda Morrell, Clerk and 25 residents were
present.

1.	To approve total highway expenditures for 2011 pursuant to Section
82.03 of Wisconsin Statutes.

Bernie Egan, resident of the Town of Utica, made a motion, seconded by
Kevin Fritz, resident of the Town of Utica, to allocate in the Town of
Utica 2011 budget, $340,000 for highway expenditures.  Hand raised
vote by residents, 13 ayes, and 12 nays. Carried.


2.	To approve the 2010 town tax levy to be collected in 2011 pursuant
to Section 60.10(1)(a) of Wisconsin Statutes.

Per Sec. 60.10 (1) (a) of WI, Statutes authorizes the town electors of
a town to adopt the town tax levy at a town meeting of the electors. 
Whereas, a special town meeting of the electors has been noticed and
called this 22nd day of November, 2010.  Now, therefore, the special
town meeting of the Town of Utica, Winnebago County, Wisconsin by a
majority vote of the eligible electors voting on this 22nd day of
November, 2010 duly assembled and voting resolves and orders as
follows: 

Sandy Forsgren, resident of the Town of Utica, made a motion, seconded
by Jenny Wiegman, resident of the Town of Utica to set the 2010 levy
to be collected in 2011 at .00254478. Hand raised vote by residents,
13 ayes, and 12 nays. Carried.     


3.	To approve a resolution endorsing a town board resolution to exceed
the state levy limit under Section 66.0602.

Resolution was not necessary as levy limit was not exceeded.





Lyle Forsgren, resident of the Town of Utica, made a motion, second by
Jonathon Groth, resident of the Town of Utica, to adjourn. Voice vote
by residents. Carried.
